Two airports in Riverside County receive federal funds for rehab projects

Two airports in Riverside County were among nearly 400 around the country selected to receive Federal Aviation Administration grants intended for infrastructure projects, it was announced Thursday, April 1.The FAA awarded Riverside Municipal Airport $107,000 for a taxiway overhaul, and Hemet-Ryan Airport, owned by the county, was awarded $300,000 for apron and taxiway upgrades, according to the FAA.The grants were made as part of the agency’s 2021 Airport Improvement Program.
