Anza man arrested on alleged methamphetamine, marijuana possession charges
An Anza resident was arrested on alleged drug possession charges Sunday, April 4. Riverside County sheriff’s deputies assigned to the mountain communities conducted a traffic enforcement stop at the intersection of Kirby and Wellman roads in Anza.Michael Hamilton, 62, was allegedly found to be in possession of about an ounce of methamphetamine, about 2.2 pounds of marijuana and cash.Hamilton was arrested on drug possession charges and was booked into custody at Larry D. Smith Correctional facility in Banning.He was charged with cannabis, unlawful paraphernalia, controlled substance and narcotic/not controlled substance possession charges and held on $30,000 bail.“Enforcement efforts like this will continue,â
