ATHYRIO to host Education Day and Best Friends Expo May 1

The “And The Horse You Rode In On” social club will host an Education Day and Best Friends Expo at Minor Park in Anza Saturday, May 1. Several equine, trail and even camp cooking education events will be held during the day, including Coffee with a Horseman, a “Leave No Trace” presentation and a Dutch oven cooking demonstration. Additionally, local professionals including veterinarians and holistic animal healers will speak about their crafts and answer questions. Beginning at 9 a. m., Coffee with a Horseman will feature author and horseman Cezanne Ryerson-Jodka for a question session for prospective horse owners. “Know what you’re getting yourself into before you commit to owning a horse,” Ryerson-Jodka said.
