F.U.N. Group receives $80,000 in funds for Senior Food Box program

The Friends Uniting Neighbors Group announced that it has received an additional $80,000 in funds for their Senior Food Box program Tuesday, April 20.“The Riverside County Office on Aging just quadrupled our funding for the Senior Food Box program – from $20,000 to $80,000 – but with the condition that we must spend the money by the end of June,” Bill Donahue of the F.U.N. Group, said. “We accepted the funds on faith, knowing that there are more seniors who can use help. I’m still trying to wrap my head around it. We asked for the funding in June 2020. It finally came in November. We ran out of government funds in December, but we kept the program running out of our pocket until January. They increased the funding to $40,000 in March and then doubled that to $80,000 in Apri
