State universities announce mandatory vaccine rule to return on-campus

All students, faculty and staff returning for on-campus classes and activities at San Diego State University, University of California San Diego, California State San Marcos and all other California State University and University of California schools will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, it was announced.This announcement came despite the fact that only 0.2% of COVID-19 deaths nationwide have been younger than age 25. Deaths occurring in the age 55 and older account for 93% of COVID-19 deaths nationwide, according to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention.
