Residents clear trash, debris in Menifee Better Together event

Within four hours Menifee residents, city officials and others worked to clean up main highway right of ways, eight senior citizens’ homes outside were rejuvenated and dozens of others drove to two trash pickup sites with loads of trash they had collected. The special cleanup event was called Menifee Better Together. It was the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions that the community rallied together under the guidance of Menifee’s Community Services Department and city manager’s office to “clean up the city.” City Councilmember Matt Liesemeyer of Menifee’s District 2 said, “I am really happy to see this event in action again after having to take 2020 off due to COVID-19.
