15-Day streak of rising gas prices ends in RS CountyRIVERSIDE (CNS) – A 15-day streak of increases to the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County ended Wednesday, May 12, with a decrease of one-tenth of a cent to $4.066. The average price increased 10.1 cents during the streak, including a half-cent Tuesday, to its highest amount since Oct. 23, 2019, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The average price is 3.9 cents higher than one week ago, 15 cents more than one month ago and $1.357 greater than one year ago. It has risen 89 cents since the start of the year, mainly because of a run of 82 increases in 84 days totaling 70.4 cents that ended March 30.
