MURRIETA (CNS) - Felony charges are expected to be filed Tuesday, May 18, against a 26-year-old man suspected of molesting a Lake Elsinore girl.Gerardo Villagran of Lake Elsinore was arrested Friday and booked into the Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta on suspicion of lewd acts on a child, sending pornographic material to a minor and related allegations.
Villagran is being held in lieu of $2 million bail.
According to Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Julio Olguin, deputies were contacted earlier this month regarding alleged acts of sexual abuse on a girl whose name and age were withheld.
Olguin alleged the molestation occurred at a house in the 200 block of Heald Avenue, near Ellis Street, over an unspecified period.
