RIVERSIDE - A convicted felon who allegedly fled from Riverside police officers and later allowed his vehicle to roll into a police cruiser, prompting the lawmen to open fire, was charged today with assault on a peace officer.
Jeremy Blue Martinez, 31, of Riverside was arrested Sunday following the chase and shooting on Houghton Avenue.
Along with the assault count, Martinez is charged with felony evading and committing a crime while on bail.
