Temecula City Council approves Pujol/First all-way stop

The Temecula City Council approved an all-way stop control at the intersection of Pujol and First streets.The city council's 5-0 vote May 25 established the all-way stop and also established a pedestrian crosswalk at the intersection. The intersection met the collision history warrant for an all-way stop, and the city also considered factors such as visibility and conflict between vehicles and pedestrians.Pujol Street is 40 feet in width. The speed limit is 30 mph south of First Street and 25 mph north of First Street. A traffic survey indicated that Pujol Street has an average daily volume of 3,071 vehicles at the intersection.
