Ferreira Construction Company was awarded the Eastern Municipal Water District contract to provide erosion mitigation for the Warm Springs Creek sewer crossing.A 5-0 EMWD board vote June 3 approved a $1,292,200 contract with Ferreira, which is based in Rancho Cucamonga. The action also approved a $68,800 engineering services contract with HDR, Inc., authorized Eastern general manager Joe Mouawad to execute contracts with the necessary consultants and suppliers, and appropriated $1,466,900 for the project.Eastern installed a sewer across Warm Springs Creek in 2004. The sewer provides service to approximately 850 homes in Murrieta and to Daniel N. Buchanan Elementary School.
