Temecula City Council approved the advertisement for bids of a construction contract to provide sidewalks along 5th Street in Old Town Temecula.The 5-0 vote June 8 approved the plans and specifications for the sidewalks and other improvements, authorized the county’s Department of Public Works to solicit construction contracts, and found the project to be categorically exempt from a California Environmental Quality Act review. The project will provide sidewalks along the north side of 5th Street from Front Street to Murrieta Creek.The work will also include trees on both sides of 5th Street, rolled curb, full width street pavement grind and overlay, centerline ribbon gutter, signing and striping, street lighting, landscaping, irrigation, and bollards for the road terminus of Murr
