Woman charged with killing boyfriend during confrontation in San Jacinto

BANNING (CNS) - A 27-year-old woman accused of fatally stabbing her boyfriend during an argument in San Jacinto was charged Thursday, July 8, with murder. Wynette Clara Nunez of San Jacinto was arrested Monday after the alleged attack in the 100 block of Boxelder Way, near Elderberry Street. Along with murder, Nunez is charged with a sentence-enhancing allegation of using a deadly weapon -- a knife -- in the commission of a felony. She was being held on $1 million bail at the Smith Correctional Facility in Banning and slated to make her initial court appearance today at the Banning Justice Center.
