After a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Oldlympics are back. Registration is open for the 36th annual competition for people aged 50 and older.

Operated by Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District, the Oldlympics will be held from Sept. 17 to Oct. 5 at various locations throughout the San Jacinto Valley. The Oldlympics annually draw more than 600 competitors. Events are bench press, billiards, bingo, bowling, chair volleyball, cribbage, Fun-tathlon, golf, horseshoes, lawn bowling, pickleball, pinochle, Scrabble, shuffleboard, swimming, table tennis, tennis, Texas Hold ’em, tournament blackjack and track and field. The event concludes with an Awards Banquet Oct. 5.
