Personal watercraft racing returned to Lake Elsinore with the “Best of the West” series taking over Launch Pointe Resort Aug. 14 and 15. The event was an International Jet Sports Boating Association sanctioned event, which is described by organizers as motocross racing on water. There were also freestyle events, with riders doing flips, rolls, and other stunts to earn points.
RPM Racing Enterprises hosted the event which also saw Kolin Renner of Temecula, who was just one of a handful of local riders, take a strong second place finish in the “Ski Novice Stock 1500” class riding a Kawasaki Jet Ski Saturday, Aug. 15.
