ANZA – Riverside County Sheriff’s personnel are negotiating with a suspect they believe is armed and dangerous in the unincorporated community of Anza Wednesday, Oct. 6.
According to a Sheriffs Department spokesman, the suspect has been contained in a residence in the 61000 block of Indian Paintbrush Road in Anza.
A large deployment of resources, including helicopters, caused residents to take to social media to report what they saw.
“At this time, please stay in your homes and do what deputies ask,” said the Sheriff’s Department spokesman, at approximately 7:00 pm.
More information will be provided as it becomes available.
