SAN JACINTO – A motorist was injured today in a rollover crash at a San Jacinto intersection that also sheared a utility pole.
The wreck was reported at about 2 p.m. at Esplanade and Mountain avenues, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Agency spokeswoman Jody Hagemann told City News Service that the vehicle overturned and hit an electrical pole for reasons still under investigation.
“We responded to the call as a cut-and-rescue, but the patient self-extricated,” she said.
There was no fire, and no other vehicles were involved.
The victim, whose identity was not disclosed, was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries, according to Hagemann.
