Supervisors approve bid process for Mayberry Avenue sidewalks
The Riverside County Board of Supervisors approved an advertisement for a construction contract bid for sidewalks along Mayberry Avenue in East Hemet.The supervisors’ 5-0 vote, Tuesday, Nov. 9, authorized the advertisement for bids, approved the plans and specifications for the construction, set a Dec. 1 deadline for receipt of bids and found the sidewalk project to be categorically exempt from California Environmental Quality Act review. The project will construct sidewalks on the north side of Mayberry Avenue between Peartree Lane and Casino Road, which is a distance of approximately a quarter of a mile.The contractor will provide new curb, gutter and sidewalks on the street and will also construct a concrete access ramp meeting Americans with Disabilities Act standards at the
