Christmas comes early at the Assistance League of Hemacinto

With lighted Christmas trees, ornaments in various colors and sizes, holiday books, Santa items and much more, the Assistance League of Hemacinto opened its annual Christmas Room Thursday, Nov. 11. Assistance League members transformed the nonprofit’s meeting room, adjacent to its year-round upscale thrift store, into a dedicated holiday shop.Meg Stuart-Cottrell heads the Christmas Room Committee and serves as its coordinator. She explained that as seasonal items are included in donations throughout the year, she keeps them together in a specific storage shed after they have been priced.
