Riverside County’s COVID hospitalizations increase slightly

RIVERSIDE (CNS) - The number of coronavirus patients in Riverside County hospitals increased by three to 320, with 82 in intensive care, the same as Monday, state health officials released in their latest data. Meanwhile, the aggregate number of COVID cases recorded in the county rose by 1,139 since Monday, reaching 388,122 since the pandemic began, according to the Riverside University Health System. While the Omicron variant of the coronavirus surges nationally, the RUHS continued Tuesday to report only one such case in Riverside County -- recorded last week.
