RIVERSIDE (CNS) - Santa Ana winds will continue to lash the Inland
Empire today and into Thursday, prompting the National Weather Service to post
a high wind warning for the region."These (offshore) waves are capable of producing ... potentially
damaging winds,'' according to an NWS statement. "We would not be surprised to
see isolated gusts of 70 mph or more on Wednesday.''The warning is in effect from 10 p.m. Tuesday to noon Thursday, and
notes that ``winds may blow down trees and power lines, especially near the
foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains.''"People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees
