A free food giveaway with fare arriving in huge trailers and emptied by volunteers and may be the valley’s best kept secret in recent months. The event is gaining momentum as it feeds more and more needy Anza Valley residents.Bettina Geissler and Victor and Christy Foster have arranged for large loads of a variety of eatables to be collected and distributed to those in need since February 2021.“Louis Ipolito put us in contact with a food distributor,” Christy Foster said.The Fosters never know exactly when the food will be available, and sometimes not even sure of the amounts, but they keep the public notified in real time via the Facebook group Anza Free Food Give Away.
