Hemet Treasurer pleas for additional part-time help in her elected office

Sue Savage, Hemet’s elected treasurer, argued her position has been compromised by recent city council actions as she took to the podium during the council’s public comment time, Tuesday, Jan. 25, saying the city is continuing to lose revenue with its continued recommended investments.Savage, before her election in 2021, appeared many times before the council, saying its long-term investments and bonds were poorly managed and suggesting changes in their banking and financial interests.On Tuesday night, she stood before the council, asking for an additional part-time employee to help her department in three areas with interest rates, changes in California state law and social media.
