Perris skateboarder, 16, killed by SUV in Riverside
RIVERSIDE (CNS) - A 16-year-old boy was fatally struck by an SUV while
skateboarding in Riverside, police said today. The crash was reported at about 7:30 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Arlington and Brockton avenues, according to the Riverside Police Department.Investigators said a 2003 GMC Yukon with a trailer attached was headed westbound on Arlington when it struck the juvenile, who entered the intersection while riding a skateboard northbound on Brockton.The victim, Jordan Rawlins of Perris, was taken to Riverside Community Hospital, where he later died of his injuries, according to the Riverside County coroner's office. The driver of the Yukon, identified only as a 60-year-old Riverside resident, was uninjured, remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities, polic
