RIVERSIDE (CNS) - A 16-year-old boy was fatally struck by an SUV while
skateboarding in Riverside, police said today. The crash was reported at about 7:30 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Arlington and Brockton avenues, according to the Riverside Police Department.Investigators said a 2003 GMC Yukon with a trailer attached was headed westbound on Arlington when it struck the juvenile, who entered the intersection while riding a skateboard northbound on Brockton.The victim, Jordan Rawlins of Perris, was taken to Riverside Community Hospital, where he later died of his injuries, according to the Riverside County coroner's office.
