Fire in Menifee destroys garage but stopped before reaching living space

MENIFEE (CNS) - A fire that erupted today at a Menifee home consumed the garage but was stopped before spreading to the main residence.The non-injury blaze was reported about 3:30 p.m. in the 29000 block of Celestial Drive, on the north end of the Menifee Lakes Country Club, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.Multiple engine crews were sent to the location and encountered flames raging inside the attached garage, the agency said.Firefighters deployed around the structure and prevented the fire from extending into the living quarters, officials said. The blaze was fully contained less than a half-hour later. The cause of the fire was under investigation. Copyright 2022, City News Service, Inc.
