RIVERSIDE (CNS) -- California Highway Patrol officers wrapped
up a Memorial Day weekend enforcement campaign to snare drunken and other
unsafe drivers in Riverside County.The CHP initiated its holiday weekend "maximum enforcement period''
Friday evening, during which all available officers hit the streets to catch
impaired motorists, as well as other traffic violators. The crackdown will
concludes at 11:59 p.m. Sunday night."Memorial Day should be a time for honoring our fallen heroes and
spending time with loved ones,'' CHP Commissioner Amanda Ray said last week."It should never be marked by tragedy caused by car crashes.''Officers from the Beaumont, Blythe, Indio, Riverside and Temecula CHP
