Murrieta’s federal Community Project Funding requests selected for federal Appropriations Committee consideration

MURRIETA – Rep. Ken Calvert selected the City of Murrieta’s Keller Road Interchange Project in the amount of $2.6 million as one of his federal appropriations within the Community Project Funding program and this week it was included in the House Transportation-HUD appropriations bill, moving further along in the process.To meet the needs of communities across the country, the Appropriations Committee accepts programmatic, language-based and Community Project Funding requests from members of Congress. While this selection is the first step in the legislative process, it is a major milestone to secure federal funding for the interchange project.
