MilVet was allocated $10,000 of Riverside County’s Community Improvement Designation funding.A 5-0 county Board of Supervisors vote Tuesday, June 21, authorized a CID grant to MilVet, a Murrieta organization which provides workshops and other educational programs to encourage self-sustainability for military veterans, older adults and families. MilVet will use the county funding for its military care package program and its veterans claims assistance program.Community Improvement Designation grants can be allocated to non-profit organizations, public agencies, county departments or other organizations with programs which serve the social needs of the county’s population.
