RANCHO MIRAGE (CNS) – More than 700 junior golfers from over 40
countries will come together in Rancho Mirage today in advance of the 14th
Annual FCG Callaway Junior Golf Championship.

Players and their families will meet at the Westin Rancho Mirage Golf
Resort and Spa Ballroom from 2-6 p.m. Sunday for a mandatory welcome party,
featuring sponsors, photo booths, a DJ and gifts.

“We aim to make Rancho Mirage [the] official home of the FCG Callaway
World Junior Golf Championship and every year through our qualifying series
worldwide, bring the best of the best junior golfers to compete in this
beautiful city,” founder and president of Future Champions Golf Chris Smeal
said.

All players will receive their tournament information at Sunday’s
welcome party.

According to the tournament guideline, all players will ride in golf
carts, but players in the 15-18 division will ride in shared carts with no
caddies.

Caddies will be mandatory for players 14 and under, but won’t be
provided by FCG or golf courses.

Each division will be scored differently. The 15-18 division will be
cut at 36 holes due to its large number of players and any division with five
or more competitors to complete at least 36 holes will be ranked in the Junior
Golf Scoreboard system.

Junior golfers will compete at 10 championship golf courses within
Rancho Mirage and Palm Desert through Wednesday, starting at 7:30 a.m. Monday.
