Riverside County firefighters contain grass fire that burned 5 acres

Riverside County Firefighters contained a grass fire in Temecula that scorched an estimated 5 acres of grass Sunday, July 17.The so-called Meadows Fire ignited near Meadows and Temecula parkways just after 4 p.m., according to the Riverside County Fire Department.The fire was fully contained as of 7:15 p.m., the department reported.No injuries were reported and structures were threatened.The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
