County to advertise for Stetson Avenue resurfacing bids

The Riverside County Board of Supervisors authorized the advertisement for bid of the Stetson Avenue resurfacing project.The supervisors’ 5-0 vote Tuesday, Aug. 2, authorized the advertisement for bids, set a Wednesday, Aug. 24, bid opening date, approved the plans and specifications for the East Hemet resurfacing and found the resurfacing to be categorically exempt from California Environmental Quality Act review. The work will resurface approximately 2.25 miles of Stetson Avenue between Santa Fe Street and 150 feet east of Hemet Street.The county’s general plan classifies Stetson Avenue as a major road.
