BANNING (CNS) - An inmate has died at the Larry D. Smith Correctional
Facility in Banning, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department announced today.On Aug. 16, deputies located a man inside a housing unit in need of
medical attention, and medical staff at the correctional facility determined
the inmate needed to be taken to a hospital.The man's health continued to worsen at the hospital until he passed
away Saturday. The inmate's identity was not released pending notification of
next of kin. Officials said there were no signs of foul play.The sheriff's department said investigators from the Corrections
Intelligence Bureau and the Riverside County coroner's office have started
