HEMET (CNS) - Authorities are investigating the death of a Hemet woman
this week as a homicide, police said today.
The Hemet Police Department received a call regarding an unresponsive woman in the 400 block of West Stetson Avenue at 7:42 p.m. Thursday.
When officers arrived, they found the woman dead and with visible injuries, according to Lieutenant Michael Mouat.
Police served a search warrant for a person of interest in the case at an apartment complex in the 1000 block of S. Gilbert Street on Friday, but the person was not located.
The name of the victim was not released, pending notification of her family.
