RIVERSIDE (CNS) – Riverside police today advised the public to be on
the lookout for two convicted sex offenders who allegedly failed to report
their whereabouts to authorities under the terms of their parole and could be
anywhere in the city.

Angel Garcia, 25, and Gabriel Flores, 62, are registered sex offenders
and known area transients for whom police have been looking in recent
weeks, according to Detective Jarid Zuetel of the Riverside Police Department.

Sex registrants are required under California Penal Code section 290
to notify authorities in local jurisdictions when and exactly where they have
established residency. The law also prohibits an offender from having contact
with minors, other than relatives, as well as imposing other restrictions.

Garcia is 5-feet-6 inches tall and 135 pounds, with black hair and
dark brown eyes. He was last seen along the Magnolia Avenue corridor, Zuetel
said.

Flores is 5-feet-5 inches tall and 155 pounds, with brown eyes, brown
hair and a gray mustache. He is known to loiter in the Arlanza neighborhood,
the detective said.

Photos of both are available on the department’s Facebook page at
www.facebook.com/RiversidePD.

Specific details regarding the men’s prior offenses were not available.

Anyone with information about the pair was asked to contact Zuetel at
