The city of Lake Elsinore invited interested individuals to attend a Dock Day public outreach event Saturday, Oct. 8, to learn about the pilot study that is showing promise for cleaning up the latest algae blooms that have temporarily shut down Lake Elsinore to recreational activities.Companies, some using novel approaches to bacteria eradication, were chosen to participate in this pilot program made possible through Proposition 1 funding from the California Department of Water Resources. With approval by the Santa Ana Watershed Project Authority, Lake Elsinore was selected to receive funding to seek solutions to improve water quality within the lake.City Council member Steve Ma
