Freedom Crest Elementary hosts annual Veterans Day celebration

MENIFEE – Menifee community members spotted a fire truck ladder displaying the U.S. flag and a fire truck parked at Freedom Crest Elementary School in the morning Wednesday, Nov. 9. Over a hundred students, staff and families gathered together for the annual Veteran’s Day assembly, which brought together veterans from the school’s families, staff and community for a morning of acknowledgement and appreciation.“This is a remarkable event and I am so glad that we are able to acknowledge our veterans,” Jennifer Root, superintendent of Menifee Union School District, said. “It is also a delight to see our children honoring those who have served in the armed forces and to celebrate their valor.”The school was decorated in red, white and blue and with creative student art.
