RIVERSIDE (CNS) - A child was killed and another suffered major
injuries today in a collision between a sedan and truck on Interstate 215 in
Riverside.The crash was reported at 12:33 a.m. on southbound I-215 at Blaine
Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.CHP officials said a big rig and Kia impacted in the middle of the
freeway, but no other details were immediately available.The Kia was occupied by three people -- two children and an adult --
none of whom were identified.According to Riverside Fire Department Battalion Chief Michael Staley,
two engine crews and a truck company were sent to the location and
pronounced one of the children dead at the scene.The other minor was seriously injured and taken to Riverside
