November 30, 2022 – At approximately 3:53 pm, our communications center received a call for service regarding an injury collision on Newport Road, at the intersection with Westlink Drive. Menifee Police Department (PD) Officers and Cal Fire were dispatched to the scene. The collision was reported to involve a vehicle and a bicyclist. Officers arrived on scene and observed a juvenile riding an electronic
bicycle (e-Bike) was involved in the collision with a Chevrolet Traverse. The rider of the e-Bike suffered a head injury and was transported to a local hospital.
Our traffic unit arrived on scene and took over the investigation. Uninvolved witnesses stated they observed the rider of the e-Bike was riding eastbound on the north sidewalk of Newport and entered
the intersection with Westl
