HEMET (CNS) - Along with Santa Claus, candy canes, sugars plums, gingerbread and other Christmas sweets will be featured today during the Hemet "Candyland Christmas Parade.''The event is scheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday, beginning at the intersection of Florida Avenue and Gilbert Street. It will run west to east, covering roughly 1.5 miles, ending at Florida and Santa Fe Street.The nighttime parade will showcase floats celebrating the festive atmosphere of the Holiday Season. Following the parade, festivities will continue in Weston Park, at Florida and Taylor Street, where there will be winter-themed activities, including hot cocoa, pictures with Santa and other family-oriented entertainment.According to the Hemet Police Department, multiple street closures will be in effect for
