The Murrieta City Council struck a transient tax incentive pact with a proposed hotel and agreed with a billboard firm to relocate its signs in the city during its regular meeting, Dec. 6.The full five member council met and called a public hearing to discuss a Transient Occupancy Tax Revenue Sharing Agreement with 3 Thrones Hospitality. The firm is planning to build a six-story, 131-room hotel. The developer has completed a pre-application process with the City of Murrieta for this site that is now in escrow. The Makena Medical Site where the hospital would be located is approved in the General Plan.The hotel, still in its planning stages, will cater to many medical personnel staying to work in the hospitals as well as regular visitors to the community. This fits in with the city
