Man struck, killed while riding his scooter in San Jacinto

SAN JACINTO  (CNS) - A 35-year-old man riding a scooter was struck and killed on a San Jacinto street in a collision with an SUV, authorities said today.Arthur St. Clair of Norco was fatally injured about 10:20 p.m. Sunday on South San Jacinto Avenue, near Midway Street, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.The agency said that St. Clair was going northbound on San Jacinto, traveling in lanes, when the driver of a Chevrolet Suburban impacted his scooter.The Chevy driver did not attempt to flee.Patrol deputies and paramedics reached the location within 10 minutes, attempting life-saving measures.
