The Eastern Municipal Water District board awarded HDR Engineering Inc. a contract for a planning study which will address the rehabilitation of Eastern’s regional water reclamation facilities.The EMWD board voted 4-0 Wednesday, Jan. 4, with Randy Record absent, to authorize a contract with HDR for $842,640. The board action also authorized EMVD general manager Joe Mouawad or his designee to award other necessary contracts and agreements for the planning study and appropriated $927,000 to fund project costs through completion.Eastern operates four regional water reclamation facilities.
