Public’s help sought for missing Wildomar man

Bill Connors, age 63, has been missing from Wildomar since Feb 3. The Sheriff is asking for the public's help to locate him.

RIVERSIDE SHERIFF PRESS RELEASE – On February 3, 2023, deputies from Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded to the 21000 block of Grand Avenue, in the City of Wildomar regarding a report of a lost hiker.  The reporting party stated that her husband, Robert Connors, 63, of Wildomar, left the location for a hike in the surrounding area and did not return. The investigation revealed Connors left his home at approximately 7:50 am.

A Riverside County Sheriff’s Department helicopter, bloodhound, the Riverside Mountain Rescue Unit, several deputies, and volunteers who lived in the area conducted an extensive search for the male that evening and were unable to locate him. The Lake Elsinore Station’s Investigation Bureau was called out to assist with the investigation and search.

The search for Connors resumed in the morning hours of February 4, 2023 and continued until sundown.  Efforts to locate Connors were unsuccessful and the search for him will resume at sunrise.

Connors is approximately 5’8” tall, 155 pounds, bald with blonde hair on the side, blue eyes, and was last seen wearing a gray and black flannel shirt, gray pants, black and white tennis shoes, gray beanie, and an orange and black colored backpack.
