The CIF Southern Section released the schedule for the girls’ water polo championships earlier this week, and the area will be well represented in Division 2. The Murrieta Valley girls’ water polo team swam their way through the postseason after posting a 19-14 overall record this season. The Nighthawks will be looking to add that 20th win this Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Woollett Aquatics Center in Irvine when they face Millikan High School.

Murrieta Valley posted wins over Centennial (14-4), Woodbridge (10-5), and Downey (6-4) in the playoffs. Millikan got to the finals with wins over Camarillo (21-6), Riverside Poly (7-6), and Dana Hills (15-6). The two teams will face off at 12:20 p.m., just before the Open Division finals between Foothill and Orange Lutheran.
Tickets: $12 for general admission, $5 for students with high school ID and children 13 and under. All championship matches will be streamed on the NFHS Network, for those that have a subscription.
