LAKE ELSINORE (CNS) – A woman was trapped in the wreckage after a car
and an SUV collided Monday night on Ortega Highway (74) in unincorporated Lake
Elsinore.
The crash was reported at 8:30 p.m. on the 34400 block of Ortega
Highway at Rocky Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department and
California Highway Patrol.
Firefighters used hydraulic tools to free the woman and summoned an
air ambulance to take her to a hospital, fire officials said.
Both vehicles sustained major damage, the fire officials said.
