Menifee City Council decides warehouse approval, studies housing tract amendment

Two major developments reached the Menifee City Council at their regular meeting Wednesday, June 7. After review by the Menifee Planning Commission, one was denied and the other was approved but faces a request for repeal by the neighboring city of Perris.The Planning Commission questioned the approval of an amendment to add 85 smaller lot homes to the already approved Riverside County 473 home Golden Meadows Tentative Tract Map with the proposed 259 lots in the Phase 4 build out, which is up from the initially approved 169 lots. Seeing that the increased density of the home addition was not compatible with the rural setting of the area which has many large properties with horses, the commission recommended denying the amendment to the council.In the other development, two 250,000-
