From The Heart Christian Women's Ministries have announced that their annual Backpack Giveaway will take place Saturday, August 12. The traditional event to assist local students with a head start to their school year will take place at the Hamilton High School gym in Anza, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.Last year’s giveaway served over 300 mountain community students with new backpacks, supplies, shoes, socks, haircuts and more."We passed out over 200 pairs of shoes and packages of socks, and we gave out around 275 backpacks, not including the ones we gave to the different schools, so probably around 325 altogether," said organizer Christi James, describing the 2022 event..According to James, many Hemet Unified School District students attending the Anza Hamilton schools need pens
