The Kids of Anza presented their annual Christmas toy giveaway Thursday Dec. 21, at the Anza Community Hall. Dozens of families arrived to receive gifts for children of all ages, from infants to teens. Sports equipment, bicycles, learning toys, electronics, plush toys and more were provided by KOA. “I want to give the big shoutout to Russell Kitchen and his helpers with Kids of Anza,” said Anza mother Dixie Fletcher. “Times are hard for us all and without the organizations up here to help us parents out, Christmas wouldn’t happen for a lot of the people in our community. Seeing the joy on our babie’s faces made this Christmas such a wonderful and blessed day.” Local welder Alex Garcia, assisted by Nic Monteleone, raised over $2,000.00 for the cause.
