Temescal Canyon High School’s presentation of ‘Chicago: Teen Edition’ opens Thursday, March 14

The Temescal Canyon High School Spotlight Players are proud to present Chicago: Teen Edition. Kander & Ebb's legendary and award-winning musical, set in the 1920’s, is a scathing satire of fame, justice, and the media machine.TCHS is excited to produce this adaptation, which was specifically designed to be content-appropriate, since overtly sexual references and adult language have been removed. The musical is based on a 1926 play of the same name by reporter Maurine Dallas Watkins about actual criminals and crimes on which she reported. In Roaring Twenties Chicago, chorus girl Roxie Hart murders a faithless lover and convinces her hapless husband, Amos, to take the rap, until he finds out he's been duped and turns on her.
