Green space passive park seen in Sun City’s future
A Sun City Community meeting called by the city of Menifee to discuss what should be done with a small 2-acre passive park brought nearly 100 local residents to express their views at the Faith Lutheran Church in Sun City Monday, March 4.Pleased with the community turnout, Menifee Council member Bob Karwin, the contracted designers from BLMA Landscape Architects and Mayor Bill Zimmerman appeared at the meeting to hear the residents’ comments.The city purchased the 1.8-acre piece of land behind the church for just under $500,000. It is sandwiched between Sun City residents living near the church on Portsmouth Drive.
